How long after using ovidrel can I test?

MY RE has me waiting for my beta until 18 days after Ovidrel (16 days past my IUI), but I've heard 12-14 days might be a safe bet also.  I plan on waiting, though, don't want to jinx myself GOOD LUCK

I usually got neg HPT  6 or 7 days after Ovidrel to show it was out of my system. But it is different for everyone.

I believe when I tested it out, it was about 12-13 days after trigger.

MOST people see it gone in 10 days (those who test it out). However, I wouldn't test any earlier than 13dp trigger, to reduce the risk of a false +. 13dp is about 11dpo, which is a little early anyway. I usually test at 14dp which I think is a pretty reliable result. I have always gotten a reliable + then. I did get one once at 13dp but I was pg with triplets.....

most girls see a negative test after 7-9 days (meaning ovidrel out of your system) -- and then wait a few more days to start testing for BFP.

Unfortunately for me I've never gotten that far - AF always shows (and I don't test to see that ovidrel is out of my system, seeing a positive and then negative would just drive me crazy. but that's just me).

I got a BFP 11 days post trigger shot. I didnt test before that so I cannot be 100 positive that it wasnt a BFP from Ovidrel.

I tested at 8 days post trigger and got a faint +. I tested 10 days post trigger and got a -.

Honostly, the best thing to do is to test out. Then you will know for sure when it has left your body.

Everyone is different (I triggered five days ago and my hpt is negative,)  I will be testing in ~5-7 more days.  GL!

I heard that if you do it early enough, you will get a false positive.

This one is over four years old, and you can tell that almost everyone who posted on it has had their babies and moved on. We call these "zombie threads" and we try to prevent them from popping up because of the tickers, old news, and old information.

If you are experiencing infertility, why don't you go to the main board and introduce yourself?
