6 week US?

I have my first appointment today.  I also am officially 6 weeks today.  Do you think they will do one of those transvaginal US?  is it too early to see anything?  I know I will find out in a few hours but I am just curious.

yes, it will probably be trans vaginal.  It's too early to get a good clear look the belly way.  At 6 weeks, I saw a blob and a flicker of a heartbeat.  But it doesn't look like a baby yet.  Still, you will enjoy it!

Not all people get one done that early, but as the pp said, it would likely be trans vag if they did.  I had one done at 7 weeks with DS because of my medical history.  If I had a normal history and no concerns, my first would have been @12 weeks.  GL!

I had a trans vag at 6 weeks.  She tried to do a regular US, but couldn't see anything.  At the trans vag doesn't hurt at all!  It felt like it was hardly in there!

I had transvaginal u/s at 5 weeks, 6 days and one last night at 6 weeks, 4 days.  At 5 weeks, 6 days, we only saw the sac and yolk sac.  Last night, we saw the baby, its heartbeat, and even hear the heartbeat.  A lot can happen in a few short days!

 In case you don't see anything more than the yolk sac tonight, try not to be alarmed.  Some people to see baby/HB that early, but it's perfectly normal not to. (I was scared last week when we couldn't see baby yet)

It just depends on the doctor.  I only had one u/s at 21w, but my SIL who is low-risk like me has had 3.

Had a vag u/s done at 6w3d.  I saw the sac and a flicker of light for the hearbeat.  Couldn't tell where the LO was aside from the heartbeat.
