I would buy cute baby gifts from Kitson for my friends.... Just got on their website now and I think $28 is the cheapiest onesie! You've got to be s$%&&ing me!!!

I know, isn't it funny how that works?

But some things I will splurge on ... like 'party' dresses or 'special occasion' wear ... but for onesies/sleepers/creepers/daycare clothes ... I go for the best deals.

Speaking of which, I just got LO a bunch of Bermuda shorts (in the next size up) at Target for $2 each, and a bunch of matching T-shirts for $1 each!

Agreed!!! My friend shower (most of them are single and still party at the bars every night) filled me up on daycare clothes but that was about it...

Thank God for the shower my cousin gave me. Mommys know best

I totally agree!  For my shower, I only recieved one thing off the registry...the rest were clothes.  Don't get me wrong, I was very greatfull to even have a party, let alone have people buy us presents!  But I have never seen so many clothes for a little kid.  We had to buy everything off the registry and it was very expensive (we borrowed as much as we could/felt comfortable with!)  I always bought off the registry before...but because I was lazy...now I do it because I know how important it is to the parents!
