Father's day ideas

Kathryn got me thinking. I really need to think of something for Father's day. DH went a little crazy for my first mother's day. I got me this beautiful ring (Annabelle's birth stone and several small diamonds on the side). Anyway, I like to do something special for him but I'm drawing a blank. Do you ladies have any suggestions? I figure today if I have some down time, I'm going to google 1st Father's day ideas.

We're on a really tight budget, so we're not splurging on anything right now.  I got a deluxe pedicure at The Pearl, which was a little more money than I felt comfortable with, but it was really worth it.

For Father's Day I'm thinking of getting DH a beer club membership at Victoria and some nice beer glasses, since he's been talking about wanting those for a while.

You can do those D-A-D pics that a lot of girls on the Bump do.

I got G's car detailed last year and a picture of him and Ella.  This year I'm going to do the D-A-D pics.

I went to https://www.wordle.net/create and typed in a bunch of words about John (his name, nicknames) and words that are associated with babies (blue, giggle, snuggle) and printed out a quick little word jumble thingy with different shades of blue and I am going to frame it and give it to Kev for work. I am also going to use a double frame and put his foot print and a picture in it (what I did for our moms for mothers day, but in a smaller frame) also for him to take to work.

 I like the D-A-D picture idea and will keep it in mind for next year.  Also you could do something from shutterfly (calendar, mug, keychain, little album) with Annabelles picture in it, for him, it shouldn't be too expensive.

go buy DAD letters from Michaels; pose LO holding each letter or standing behind each letter and then give DH the 3 pics of cute adorable LO spelling out DAD.  Super cute and inexpensive!!

I was thinking of doing some kind of shutterfly album with all the pictures  of Tim and Annabelle. I think he'll love that! I know I like that idea! Or maybe a Mug that he can use for work.

Last year, I made DH a calendar with pictures of Brendon and personalized the calendar with dates that are important to us. I did that through Ritz Camera. From Brendon, I traced Brendon's handprints and then let him color a small canvas. DH is an art major and I thought it would be fun to do little canvas prints for him.

He loved everything.

For DH's first Father's Day I got him a photo cube from Red Envelope and had it engraved with Happy First Father's Day.  It's not available on the website anymore, but I'm sure you could find something similar at Things Remembered.

We are giving DH a grill. He really wants one and I am game for some grilled food too.
