Hippinski

Thank you so much for your response yesterday. DH & I really appreciated your advice.  We started iron drops yesterday and also purchased a filter for the faucet.  I'm still waiting for the city to schedule the house inspection.  I was curious about the chelation therapies that you mentioned in your post.

The move and implementing some natural chelation techniques (coriander & basil essential oils & pescalite clay) improved her health a lot.

Can you explain the dosages for these items?  I assume that I can buy them at a store like Whole Foods? Would you mind sharing if your daughter has had any adverse effects from the lead?  Do they plan any follow up testing for hearing loss or IQ level?

Thank you!

Re: Hippinski

  • The only side effects she had were severe anemia.  Her iron levels were only 7.0.  But she couldn't tolerate the iron supplements.  It caused horrible stomach cramping and it turns out that both my dh and I were iron intolerant as babies.  The things you find out.  Why couldn't our parents have thought to mention that with our first kid?  KWIM?

Here is a link to an article about using cilantro to chelate.  The other info I found was not in one source and was just from a lot of reading on natural blood cleansing.  Basically the greener the leafy veggie the better it does to cleanse the blood.  Add fresh spinach to smoothies, tomato pasta sauce with ground beef and things like that.  You can also juice it and sneak the juice into any recipe that calls for cocoa powder or ground beef.

We also used essential oils.  I used a few drops each day and rubbed them on her feet.  We used a combo of basil and cilantro.

But honestly...with her levels only being at a 6 I would look at food combining and eliminating the source of lead from the home.  If you can do that I am guessing she will be okay and you will see the lead levels drop.  It can take a few months for them to drop...Kate was atypical in that her levels dropped as fast as they did.  We were VERY lucky that I had access to the natural chelation info and that I wasn't afraid to try it...because the chemical chelation is DANGEROUS (it's in the same family as chemo) and that's why they reserve it for very high lead levels only.

Good luck.  If you want to contact me for more info feel free to e-mail me.  hippinski@gmail
