So I used the doppler again and just faintly in the background I could hear a thump is this our LO's heart? If so I'm gonna burst, I've been trying for awhile now and with both our u/s's we couldn't hear it only see it. What do you think?
Sounds like the initial sound is your heartbeat, only cause it does not match the 170 on the doppler. When your display starts to show the 200+ numbers there is a sound in the background that sounds like baby's heartbeat. Congrats and best of luck to you!
I think you're still way too early to be able to hear it on a doppler. At this point your uterus is still below your pelvic bone. Doctors won't even attempt to find the HB on a doppler at this point and most home dopplers won't pick it up until around 14 weeks. You're probably just hearing your HB.
ETA: I listened to it again. There is something in the background, but I don't know what it was. It could be your heartbeat echo or it might be baby's heartbeat. It is hard to say, especially since it is still sooo early.

It kinda sounds to me like the baby's HB is in the background and yours is louder.... that kept happening to me where I could hear both... when you get it like that, if you just try to tilt it in different angles, you should get it! But, yea, I hear it in there.
I could hear our LO's as soon as I got our doppler at 9w too, so she isn't necessarily too early. I know there's a couple mama's on the dec board that heard it at 9-10 weeks too.
Thanks guys! I figured the really loud swoosh was mine, because I can hear that on both sides. But there is a faint noise I can hear through the headphones I wondered if it was the heart, especially since the doppler was so high and didn't match the sound I was hearing.
Kimber, I'd love to see the video, where can I find it?

I Private messaged you the link! If you don't know how to check your PM's just look on the left side where all the board names are. Go the the very bottom under "my boards" and it will say "check private messages".
I just learned how to check mine, so forgive me if you already know haha.

I can't see the video on this computer, but I just wanted to let you know that I first clearly heard DD's heartbeat with my home doppler when I was 9w3d. Yes, it's early, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to hear it.
i didn't listen to your video - but I have a doppler and heard the HB at 9 weeks with this pregnancy...and with my first baby, I was much thinner and heard the heartbeat at 8 weeks.
Re: Is this the heartbeat? (video attached)
I think it is yours. It is definitely not beating as fast as the bpm display indicates.
Here is a website where you can hear some in comparison. https://www.fetaldopplerfacts.org/facts/dopplers/fetal-heartbeat-doppler-sounds.php

No, that was yours at about 92bpm.
Your baby's will be much faster. It was even ahrd for me to find mine at 12 weeks. I'd take a break for a few days then try to look again.
No. The baby's HB Is faster, more like galloping horses or a train. That's the best way I can describe how it sounds.
I heard it for the first time at 10 weeks. I have a video of it on my blog, if you would like to see just let me know

That's your heartbeat.
Baby's will be twice as fast.
