Funny you should ask. We just bought it last week (Thursday). As I'm sure you know, it has a lot of really neat features, including the swing function, different heights, different reclining settings, wheels, folds compactly, etc. However, it is a huge pain to set up. And ours seems to be defective -- the sides of the base are really hard to flip up for storage and it sounds like you're going to break it each time you flip them up. Oh, and it feels a little bit cheaper than I expected. But DS loves it and it looks really comfortable.
DH called Peg Perego this morning to ask them about the apparent defect. They were crappy on the phone and told him our options are to either send it to them so they can fix it (which could take weeks) or send it to an authorized repair place to fix (which could take weeks and we might have to pay for labor). I thought this was unacceptable since the thing is brand new. What I was looking for was an offer to send us a new one and for us to return the defective one once we received the new one. Nope. I'm going to call the retailer (bought it online) today to see if they'll do that for us. I'm really disappointed.
Yes. Bottom line -- we still really like the chair. We also thought about the Zen and the Bloom. I'm glad we got the Tatamia. I'm just disappointed in the service. If we can get a replacement that works, we'll be happy. If we're stuck with one that doesn't work quite right, I'll be irritated because it was too expensive for that. But it's still a useful chair.
I'll post again after I talk to the retailer this afternoon. If we get a good response there, I'll be able to recommend them. We had a good experience ordering our UppaBaby Vista from them and a bunch of other stuff.
Okay, I spoke to the retailer and they're totally handling it. They're getting us a new chair and they'll make arrangements for the return of the defective chair. We'll get the new one first, so we don't have to go without a chair. The representative was super nice and very apologetic for the manufacturer's terrible service (which isn't even her fault or her problem).
I can't say enough good things about this company. It's babyearth.com. We've bought a lot of our baby things from them and we've never had a problem. They're amazing.
Re: Peg Perego Tatamia-anyone have this highchair?

WOW! For as expensive as it is that doesn't sound good.
I've been so torn because there aren't many reviews about it and I haven't seen it in any stores.
We thought about getting the Fisher Price Zen but we also haven't been able to find it in any stores.
So bottom line, would you recommend this chair? Even if they send you a new one?
Thanks so much for your response

Hopefully chair #2 works correctly . . .
