How is this safer than just holding the baby? I'd be worried about accidentally rolling them out of the blanket. Then again, I'm pretty clumsy... Maybe it's useful if the person has tremors or arthritis or something? (Looks like you can get one for free right now, so if anyone orders one, let me know what you think - I'm really curious!)
Re: not sure I get this
Huh? Are you even touching the baby, or do you just cradle it like in a hammock? And how would you pass baby from person to person in this thing?
It doesn't look safe or practical to me. They don't even explain what's so great about it.
Exactly! I don't understand how this is supposed to be safer than just holding it with your hands. I guess I could understand if it was meant to be used by someone with very arthritic hands (so they can't grip a baby normally), but it makes it sound like it's for everyone. And I'm with you on the "they don't even explain" thing - I clicked the About link and it just had the same info as the homepage! I was hoping for an explanation for why this was designed...
My impression is that they mean "safer" from a germ standpoint.....people aren't actually touching your newborn. But I still think it's weird, and I'd feel safer with them washing their hands and actually holding him, rather than this contraption!

This was my impression also. But it seems weird to me.
