strep throat!!!!!

I am a special ed self contained teacher with 4 students, two paras, and one teacher assistant......  well one of the kids has been sick for a week now and as of today has strep!!!   my teacher assistant is also very sick.......  Ultimately everyone will get sick.......  I might not as I have been teacher for a while and have built up my immunity but the BABY HASN'T. and  of course we will wipe everything down, keep windows open and lysol lysol lysol but is it ok to be pregnant and be around strep throat?  and why do parents send their kids to school sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    But the baby is inside of you therefore he/she has your immunities. Don't worry, you and the baby will be ok. Just do what you said, lysol everything and wash your hands very often. I'm a teacher too and I cannot for the life of me understand why parents send their sick kids to school. Sniffles and a cold...ok, but strep throat?! No...I don't think so.

    I'm sorry! Two days after my BFP I had TWO kids barf in my classroom and the nurse sent BOTH of them back after she checked them over. So not only do the parents send kids with a stomach flu to school, but the nurse won't send them home. And they both were in school the next day, too.

    Now I have a chest cold and some of my students have sore throats. This poor peanut will have every germ on the planet before he/she is even born.

    4 more weeks til summer...

    I was just going to sympathize... i am a teacher as well and i also cannot understand why parents send kids to school sick. I understand they cannot miss a day of work but NEITHER CAN TEACHERS lol...

    Wipe everything down with Lysol and wash your hands constantly. I know its basic advice but it is the best you can do. your LO will be ok like pp said because they are safe in your belly!! I totally get your concern though... Wishing you good luck with not getting sick and lots of Lysol!
