Has anyone taken their child/ren to Day Out With Thomas? It's coming near us this summer, and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the $18 per ticket. DS is 3 1/2.
Thanks

I've been to the Strasburg, PA one. It is pretty great. We took an early Sunday ticket and didn't hit any crowds. They was lots to do, eat, etc. -- great time. The ride into the countryside was nice. We've been back many times (not on Thomas days).
It depends. The ticket was rain or shine. The train ride itself was short, but there was a lot to do outside-rides, food, face painting, pics, etc. However it POURED the day we went and couldn't do any of that. I think it would have been really fun on a nice day. But we really only got the short train ride out of it so I didn't think it was worth it to pay for the 4 of us to go. But that was just bad luck. The day before we went it was gorgeous outside so you never know.
this will be our third year doing it. ds LOVES Thomas and is already talking about it.. Where we go they have so much to do, tons o train tables, coloring stations, bubbles, inflatables, a river boat ride (have to pay extra for that though). Last year they did a Bob the Builder show and had meet and greets with Bob and Sir TopHam Hat. Plus, the train ride is like 40 minutes long so it's worth it here.
