My toddler hates when I hold a baby...

so how will I survive when I have DD?? he loves looking at babies, smiles, tickles their feet etc. WHen I hold one (even a child his room or older) he freaks. he breaks out in sad sobs and tears and says "down down!" I have tried holding them both on my lap, but he wont take it. I have tried with a few babies of different ages. He even freaked when my mom was holding my niece!

Have any of you had this issue and then go on to have your LO being OK with the new baby?....(please tell me yes

any tips for now?

My DD does this occasionally. It makes it really hard when she doesn't want me to hold DS but luckily DS is a pretty easy going baby so I usually just put him down for a little bit and love on her. DD likes to rip DS pacifier out of his mouth and try to climb on him so it makes it hard to hold the both of them at the same time. It will be okay. Sometimes you just have to do a balancing act to keep everyone happy. I will tell you having 2 under 2 has not been nearly as hard as I thought.

DS was too young to really be jealous in the beginning - but he would instantly cry when DD cried. It was kinda funny...but we felt bad for him because he just didn't understand. It only lasted a couple of days and now when she cries - even just starts to whimper...he runs and give her a kiss on the head. Even when he is the reason for the crying in the first place : )
