I'm looking for something like a timer with a light for "rest periods". My daughter is phasing out of her naps but I'd like her to go up to her room for 1 hr and rest, if at all possible. A light on a timer would be perfect (in case she actually does fall asleep I don't want a regular timer to make a noise and wake her).
Where did you buy yours? I'm looking on One Step Ahead and other sites but can't find quite what I'm looking for...
Re: Anyone have a lighted timer for their child's room? Where to buy?
What about a digital clock? Does she know her numbers well enough to know that she has to wait until the first number says 3 and the next number says 4 (or whatever)?

I was looking into these a while back but found that they can be pretty pricey. I ended up not needing anything though but I had come up with this idea if I need it. I have one of those programmable timers for our Christmas lights which can be set for 2 different on/off times. I was gonna plug a regular night light into it and then set it to turn on when it was OK for DS to get out of bed. Then turn off about 2 hours later just in case he actually did sleep in. Kind of a lot of steps but much cheaper than the "toddler alarm clocks".
Good luck.
