How do you get a pic in a locket?

I bought my sister a locket -- she's Mallory's godmother.  I want to try to put a picture in it before I give it to her tomorrow.  Anybody have experience shrinking a pic down small enough to fit?  I was thinking of taking the photos over to Target and seeing if I could do something to zoom out or shrink it on those Kodak machines...I have my doubts that it will work.

    Use IrfanView... I believe it is standard on most PCs.. check your desktop or programs. Thats how I get pics to fit in my locket, oraments etc.

    That is the program I have used too, you should also be able to get it free online if it is not on your computer already. GL!
