anyone else get these?

varicose veins, not only on your legs, but in your crotch too??? 

i asked my dr. about them at my last appt and she said they were very common in pregnancy.  that mine really weren't too bad-some ladies get them so big that it "looks like they have a scrotum hanging down" (her exact words).  mine have definitely gotten bigger since last appt and now they are beginning to show up in my legs...i also have (only on right leg) what looks like major bruises, but i think are lots of broken blood capillaries.  i have an appt next week (31 weeks) so i'll have her look at everything again then but have any of you ladies experienced this?  i know it's "normal" and in a place where not too many people will get to see them, but it's so embarassing!!!  i told dh about it but am avoiding any kind of play down there b/c i don't want to gross him out!

anyone willing to share their experience wit this or any advice on how to keep them as small and contained as possible is GREATLY appreciated!!!

No experience with them "down there", but all of a sudden I've got a bruise on my calf that has been getting darker with time and not going away. I showed my doc and she said it was probably a burst vessel and nothing to worry about, but we'll keep an eye on it.
