Galveston?

Has anyone been to Galveston since the oil spill? If so, is the water or sand any different than it was before?

We've been a few times.  It isn't any different than usual.

I just spent the week in Galveston and there is nothing different about our beaches.

I live and work in Galveston - no oil here, and they don't expect it to come this way at all! I think if anything, it may catch a current and whip around florida and up the east coast... but so far it's pretty much stayed in the same  spot.
