A few craft PIPs

We've been really busy this week, but still made time for two little projects that are too pretty not to share. I figured I'd better post these now because MIL's flight was delayed 45 mins, so I have a little extra down time before I have to play hostess! Both of these are a little bit involved, but I promise they're worth the time investment!

This looks so cool when it's finished - I framed one! I got this idea on The Artful Parent blog. You drizzle a piece of watercolor paper with rubber cement (DD loved this). Let dry. Then cover the entire paper with watercolor. Let dry. Then rub off all the rubber cement and it's brilliant white beneath. I'm so glad I bought real watercolor paper - it looks so much better than computer paper!

This looks so lovely (oops, one fell and I didn't even notice when I took the pic!). It's kind of involved, but that's what makes it fun. DD and I picked a bunch of leaves from the yard when we were weeding. Then we made impressions of leaves/flowers/beads/other stuff in Model Magic (make sure to punch a hole in it!). When it dried, we went out and picked some sticks and then hung all of the pieces on the sticks. I absolutely love how this looks!
