If I borrow an SLR camera

I am going to check with my friend if I can borrow her SLR camera for B's birthday since my camera is broken. Can I just use a regular 2GB SD card or do they usually use something else?

crap, I have to ask her. I know its a Canon, just not sure which one.

If it is one of the entry level DSLR's (like a Rebel) a regular SDHC card will work.  Others need a Compact Flash card.  I learned this when I upgraded my camera!

Also, I have no clue how many images will fit on a 2GB card, but it may fill up fast.

Just a thought, but you might want to make sure there aren't any pictures on there as you might have to reformat the card. (It is really easy.)

Ditto joseys. When I upgraded my camera, I was told I needed to have a different card.

I was trying to avoid it so I can hand it right back to her that night but thats what I may have to do.

Also, if you can't borrow from your friend or it's a hassle, you can use my camera. I wipe out my pics regularly and have a pretty big memory card so you can take pics and videos.
