I was looking at all the adoreable pics in the AW your baby post below and noticed that Mason is wearing flip-flops in your sig pic. Sooooo cute! I love flip-flops on toddlers! But, do they not bother him? Do they stay on? Did you get the kind with the strap in the back...I couldn't tell from the pic. I've tried some on Caleb in stores, but I had to pry the thong part between his fat little toes and it just seemed so tight or something, I was afraid to buy them. I can't imagine him actually walking around in them. But, I do love them and wish he could wear them! How are they working out for precious little Mason?
Re: *Amanda*
Ohhh you're so sweet Monica
I think you should definitely get some for Caleb!
You'll just have to try them on and see if they bother him or if he doesn't even notice. Mason's been wearing his for about a month now but he didn't have any issues the first time he put them on- he was curious about the new footwear but didn't act hurt or annoyed. I would watch for the back strap though to make sure it's not too tight- I manually tried to stretch them out so they wouldn't rub or be too tight. No issues though!
Mason has 2 pairs of flip-flops right now, both from Target. The ones in the photo are the Target Circo brand and I purchased them last Fall on clearance (<$3). But he has another pair that's just plain brown & they are regularly priced $2.50 at Target. I also saw that Children's Place has flip-flops on sale for either $2.50 or $3 right now too.
I think for their ages, they'll all have the strap in the back automatically (like for sizes under a 7/8). And as far as the thong part- Mason has fat toes too but they didn't seem to bother him even from the first time he wore them. The problem with the cheaper plain pair is that he'll take them off when he's in the carseat and has started teething on them so there are small chunks missing from the rubber {gross!}.
This is the 2nd pair {excuse the puckered lips...he really was happy}
