1st Trimester

Helping with headaches?

Hey all -

I have started coming out of my m/s, but for the past three days I have been getting awful headaches that come on stronger and stronger throughout my day at work. Now this week has been particularly stressful at work, and I have a very demanding job at times (occupational therapist in huge acute care hospital - running all day). I am trying to avoid taking tylenol that much, but now all I can do at night is lay on the couch and pray that it goes away, I am loosing my entire night.

Has anyone had this problem where headaches come on later in the first trimester? And any good remedies to try to get rid of them? Thanks in advance!

Re: Helping with headaches?

  • try eating some chocolate, the caffeine might help.  Or have sex (been known to help with migraines)

  • Lots of water. If it gets really bad, I drink a cup of coke with ice.
  • Yup, make sure you're drinking tons of water.  My doc told me to drink half a can of Coke and take some Tylenol.  It doesn't make it completely go away, but it dulls the pain.  Hope you're feeling better soon!
