What do you use to block sun in the car?

It hasnt really been hot here so whenever its sunny out i will just put a receiving blanket over her carseat.  But it should start getting too hot for that and i was told that the shade things that suction cup to the window aren't safe in case you got into an accident.  So what do you use?  I need some recommendations!

  • We have a shaded cling film on the window - Eddie Bauer at Target.

  • I got some cling on shades that stick to the windows. They have a little thing that changes colors when the inside of the car is too hot.
  • HIIIIIII  Jen!!  Party!!!

We also have a cling on shade, but It doesn't always block it all so I pull her carseat "hood" thing.  That helps a ton.

  • We just picked up a 2 pack of shades from Munchkin at Walmart.
  • we use the munchkin shade from babies r us that has a circle thing on the bottom which turn white for hot.
  • My windows are tinted and I have a shade thing that suctions to the door windows.
  • We have tinted windows and use the cling tinting/shades.  For our truck, we had to buy 4 of them, 2 for the window and 2 for the back windshield glass.  If our carseat was installed in the middle, we'd need 9 clings (its installed on one side because of middle seat section being not as deep, and the carseat hanging over it too much).
