Finally I have a chance to update you all. I had my fist steroid shot yesterday
at a scheduled appt. The shot actually started labor (not exactly typical but can happen) with ctx and a BAD lower back pain. I got 1.5 hrs of sleep last night and by the time I was admitted I bypassed triage and was contracting every 3-7 min with an irritible uterus in between. With magnesium (aka the most horrible ctx treatment EVER) they were able to stop them. My MFM checked me and I'm 1cm dilated. I had to have the 2ns steroid shot around noon and it set off ctx again but no more than 8/hr. I have an u/s at 9am and meet with my MFM again to discuss where we will go from here. I have met with a neonatologist, physical therapist, social worker, and a nutritionist. The neonatologist wants to see me get to Thurs but ideally longer...agreed. He said if born now they'll likely be here for 4-6 weeks and each day I stay pregnant buys them 2 less days in the NICU. I'll update as things change.
Love: 8/2000 | Marriage: 7/2005 | Baby makes three: 3/28/2007 | And one more makes...SIX?
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.

Cut the Crap - Weight loss journey of a Few Fat Chicks
Hang in there, mama! I hope the babies can stay baking for a while longer! Thank goodness for 32 weeks (aren't you a few days further along than your ticker?) I know 32 weekers that were only in for 2-3 weeks. I feel like the NICU docs always say longer, so then you're happy when they're released early. (When the boys were born they said "they'll come home around their due date", which would have been 6-7 weeks. They were home in under 2.)
No matter what, I hope they stay baking for several more days, if not weeks!

I changed my ticker to reflect where my Dr. says I'm at. But the earliest possible gestation is 31w 3d (based on the only day we had sex in Oct) but it's just easier to go along with the Dr. I want ti keep these guys in until at least 34w. I'll update after my meeting with my Dr this morning.
Thanks for the well wishes, girls!

Thoughts & Prayers coming your way, cook babies, cook!!
Keep us posted
I completely agree with you about the mag being the WORST med EVER. ?I've been on it 3 separate times already (3 trips to L&D) and I dread it.
Good luck, and I hope you can keep those little ones in there a bit longer...but if they decide to come sooner rathe than later, you have done an awesome job!
Good luck!?
Hang in there! I just had my girls at 32wks1day due to PTL and short cervix (0.8). I was on hospital bedrest for 10 weeks and contracted the entire time I was in there. I was also on Magnesium the entire 10 weeks, too. It is pretty bad, but after the second week, your body gets used to it.
I got to know a lot of the Antepartum ladies who were also there for PTL and/or short cervix and a lot of them held on for weeks, so there is hope.
As far as NICU time, our girls will be coming home tomorrow, which puts them at a month old (36 weeks gestation). All of our podmates that were twins went home about 36 weeks gestation as well.
You're really doing so great. Try not to get discouraged and take one day at a time. Every day is a gift. Hang in there!
hang in there... you are doing a great job! sounds like you are getting good care, so just focus on one day at a time. bake babies, bake!
