I'm sending you all the positive thoughts and vibes I can, and will be praying for you tonight. Hopefully the test was just faulty, and you'll soon learn that all is well. Keep strong, and big, big hugs to both you and your DH.
Don't worry about the measuring 4 days behind because EJ measured 1 week behind up until the end and I had him before my EDD and he was 9lbs 4oz.
I had a CVS, so if you have any questions about that please feel free to email me kendallandpatrick at gmail dot com, mine was via the stomach with a needle because the placenta placement (if it had been under then they would have done it vaginally), so mine ended up being almost identical to an amnio (just they don't go into the sac, just the placenta)
Try your very best to keep calm, it is scary to have news like this.
Lots of dust! With #2, his NT measurement was at 3.3 (but with the combination of bloodwork, was still screen normal) so we had to have a fetal echo cardiogram and detailed u/s to check for problems 4 weeks later. We were too late for the CVS and would have done the amnio if the u/s warranted it. It was a horrible wait, but all looked fine on the u/s, and between that and our low risks based on the bloodwork, we chose not to do the amnio. Of course we won't know anything for sure until he is born, but so far all looks good. Our genetic counselor was great, if yours wasn't maybe you could see someone else? They are supposed to be helpful during this process and most are.
Tons of dust. I hope that everything turns out ok and I'm glad that they are getting you in for the CVS right away, at least that will give you quick answers so you don't have to wait and worry. As far as measuring a bit behind, put that out of your mind, it's not a huge difference. I knew exactly when I got pregnant with both boys and at my initial ultrasounds with #1 I measured 14 days behind and #2 10 days behind. The first time my doc was arguing with me about when I got pregnant and I finally told him, you are telling me that conception hadn't even occurred yet and I already had a positive pregnancy test.
Tons and tons of good thoughts and prayers for you, J, and your little one. I am sorry you are dealing with this. I am around if you want to go for a walk, chat, etc. Hugs C!!!
