how long before bathing after circumcision?

hi ladies!  i am excited to join you over here.  i had my son on may 6th and he was circumcised on the 7th.  i am still putting gauze and vaseline on it after each diaper change.

just wondering how long to wait to bathe him ( i forgot to ask at pedi yesterday how long before it heals)  thx!

I was told to wait till umbilical cord stump fell off. Nothing about the circ.

I was told to spongebath until 10 days after his circ. We saw the pedi that day for a weight check and she gave us the go ahead to bathe him.

this.  plus hospital said no more gauze once we left - just vaseline

This. Plus, I was told I could  stop the gauze / vasaline combo once LO started having real pees

We just had to wait for the belly button thing to fall off, and then it was okay!

You have to wait until the belly button stump falls off which should be after the circ is healed. We gave him his first bath at 12 days old.
