Can anyone rec best bottles and formula for acid reflux?

Wondering if anyone has had success with a specific kind of formula or bottle?  I'm currently giving my 6 week old Gerber good start sensitive and going back in forth between tommy tippee bottles and Avent colic bottles.  I also breastfeed.  All forms of feeding end up in crying, screaming, gagging and spitting up (not spitting up too much, but he never doesn't spit up).  He seems frustrated with breastfeeding because the flow is too slow, and eats so fast that he chokes on the bottles.  Any advice? THANKS!!

  • Have you talked to the pedi about it? Ds is now on Enfamil Gentlease, Dr. Browns bottles, and Zantac. It has worked wonders, hes like a different baby!

  • We tried every single bottle on the market I think. The ones that work the best which our doc recommended are Evenflo Purely Comfi. The nipple is slow enough and the shape works well for him. He's on Nutramigen formula, which seems to help, he's definitely happier on it. It's possible something you're eating could be upseting LO's tummy, so might consider cutting out dairy/wheat to see if that helps. We tried all kinds of formula and this is the only one he was happy on.

  • I would not recommend the Tomme Tippee bottles.  We started with those and even the slow flow nipples were very fast.  We also use the Playtex VentAire bottles and they work pretty well.

I agree, we're realizing now how fast the tomme tippee flow is, I like their sterilizer but that is about it.  Looks like most people are using dr brown, evenflow or playtex, I'm going to have to get one of each! lol I'll try anything at this point
