OK girls, operation TTC #2 is in the planning stages...

...DH and I both have one leg over the fence on trying for #2 this fall. We really don't want more than 4 years between kids. Right now, it doesn't make sense because we can't afford two in daycare and I earn too much to justify SAH. But we are both desparate for another kid. 

We just paid a load of stuff off and his new job is paying him substantially more than he was making at his old job. Obviously we'll have to crunch some numbers, but it may work.

I'm ready to say screw it and go for it. Is that a bad idea? On one hand, I'd say we're thinking into it too much (we're both OCD-level planners). On the other, well, I like to have a game plan. Someone talk me off this ledge.

Our plan is to decrease retirement savings if we absolutely need to, to pay for #2's daycare bill.  Not ideal, but oh well.

THIS!  With all of our 4 kids I have NEVER regretted NOT waiting to TTC.  I do regret waiting to TTC as long as we did with our 4th because I ended up m/cing at 9wks & we were back to square one.  You will not regret not waiting.

I say go for it!!! You make things work... there will never be a "perfect" time, something is always going to come up.
