How often are you taking Zofran?

I have 8 mg and the bottle says every 8 hours ... This is a bottle from my last pregnancy and I swear I took it closer to every four hours. My OB said to go ahead and use up the bottle I had at home but by four hours I am gagging and throwing up again. 

Is anyone taking 8mg more frequently? I am going to call my OB;s office tomorrow when they are open.

I'm on 8mg and I'm taking it every 8 hours. Literally, EVERY 8 hours (and I have to admit, sometimes I've had to do 6 hours)... if I go beyond 8- it's puketown, usa for me. :-(

Ugh, I figured it was right. I am dying here.

Well the max dosage considered safe is 32mg a day. I know this because my last pregnancy I had hyperemesis and was on the Zofran pump. They would keep uping my dose until I hit 32mg a day and that was the absolute cap.

This pregnancy isn't nearly as bad. I have 4mg Zofran I can take every 4 hours and I generally take 3-4 a day although sometimes I do take them a bit closer together than 4 hours if I feel like I need them. I'm not too worried though because it's still a much lower rate than I was taking last time.

I am actually on the zofran pump because I have mild hyperemesis. But before that, my ob said that 8mg every 4 hours was fine!

Sorry mama :-( I hope we get relief soon. I already told the baby it's grounded once it's born for this crap :-P
