can you be 2 cm dilated and still have mucus plug?

I'm already dilated 2 cm, but not sure if I still have a mucus plug. I don't think its possible to still have it, as wouldn't it fall out? I don't remember seeing anything on my tp, or in the toilet that could have been it.

Yep.  I'm 2cm and 80% and still have mine-as far as I know.

I lost mine at 3cm with DS and not until 5cm with this baby.

I'm 2 cm and 60% effaced and I haven't lost mine. At least, not that I know of.

i didn't lose mine until i was 4-5 cm and in active labor at the hospital with my first.

I was 2 cm as of 2 weeks ago & I haven't lost my MP.

I was 2cm at my appt last Wednesday, contracting every day, and still haven't lost my MP.

I had the same question today and i asked my DR at my 37 wk appt.  I am 2 cm dialated (since my 36 wk appt).  On saturday I thought i noticed a what could be part of my mucus plug.  I asked the DR and she said most likely my mucus plug is long gone since dialation has started.
