CBEFM vs. CBE Dig. OPK

Does anyone have any strong feelings on the CBEFM v. just using the digital opk's?  I am weighing the pros and cons and considering getting the fm.  If you have purchased the fm, do you still use opk's as well?  The fm is just so pricey.

    I used CBEFM and LOVE it. I try to check with OPKs but I never catch my surge. FM always does.

    If you buy the CBE dig OPK for every cycle you end up paying more as those sticks are expensive.  The FM is worth the cost and it actually saves your data so it is cumulative unlike the OPKs.

    You can also find new (and used ones) on ebay that are less than the cost of the ones at Amazon...

    I love my CBEFM for alot of reasons but mainly b/c its first think in the morning.  I don't use the OPKs, I try to trust the monitor and so far it's given me two peak days each cycle.  I just had a consult with the RE and asked about the monitor and they said it was great and consider a positive OPK on my first peak day.  We scheduled some tests based on my peak day this month.

    I just bought the CBEFM (used) from a local person on craigslist for $70.  The sticks I got from Amazon for like $32, and didn't have to pay shipping.  I had a hard time reading OPKs, so I think this will be worth it.

    Thanks for all the responses.  I just bought the monitor online this morning.  I will be happy not to worry about missing my surge with the opks's next month.  Thanks ladies.

    I would def go with the CBEFM. I have one I bought off of Ebay and I got the monitor, 2 months worth of test sticks, and a free pg test for like $92.00. It worked for me the 2nd month(m/c) bc the 1st month I didn't O. I don't like OPKs bc trying to tell if a line is darker this day or the next and all is frustrating. And this way all I have to do is get up test and put it in the monitor and it tells me if I am Low, High, or Peak. I love it. But yes the test sticks do get expensive and are 49.99 at drug stores but I buy mine at early-pregnancy-tests website for like 39.99 or you can find them on ebay also.And each box is a 3mth supply. I personally would not buy it new bc the used ones work just fine. HTH GL!!
