Kumon books?

DD and I will be flying cross-country (with long drives to and from the airport) then going on a 16 hour (round trip) road trip, so she'll be needing some sit-still entertainment. I was thinking about getting a few Kumon books (in addition to other games/toys/snacks).

Does anyone have any of these?

Re: Kumon books?

  • I have all of those.  #1 loves them...he's struggling with fine motor skills, and these books have been great for him.

  • We have tracing and easy mazes.  My DD loves this type of thing.  They're a good bet for the type of travel you'll be doing.

  • My DD's faves were the sticker and paste one and the coloring ones.  The sticker/paste one does require scissors and glue.

The mazes one can be a little frustrating, but my DD loved mazes before I came across this book anyway.

Just FYI - the first two books you listed are smaller in size, and the last two are approx 8.5x11".  Not sure if you are flying but the smaller ones might be more convenient for certain things.
