Is it just me or are Gerber puffs and their other snacks way overpriced? The little girl I watch is older than DS and she eats them. I was in the store the other day and noticed that a little 1 oz or so package of the yogurt melts was like $3. Are they made out of gold or what? Yet, they seem to be the only brand I know who makes something like that. Does anyone know of any other snacks made that are similar, yet not so expensive? There's cheerios of course, but anything else? I'm thinking maybe honeycombs cereal or Kix.
Re: A less expensive alternative to puffs?
I've never had problems finding store-brand puffs. Try Target - they have tons of flavors.
And yeah, the yogurt melts are a rip-off big time.
Same here
We buy Target unless the Gerber are on sale, like this week at BRU. Honestly though the Target ones seem to have cooler flavors like PEach mango.
I also buy cherrios or trader Joes O's since they are only $1.99 a box.
I would have thought rasins would be a choking hazard. Hmm... I will have to try them (cut up though).

I thought so too, but I gave them to DS and watched him like a hawk. I cut them in half at first, but now he eats them whole. He LOVES them.
TMI: BTW, they come out whole too, but a little plumper, almost like grapes. Its kinda weird.
Good to know and LOL!!!
Do you have a helpful answer in addition to this? Or is this all we're getting?
We just use cheerios. Way cheaper, and I don't like the idea of having to buy him special food. I made all his babyfood, and no that he is starting to eat finger foods and more table food like stuff, he eats what we eat, within reason.
