Sorry about your mom.  Glad they caught it and can treat it.  My mom fed me cake for breakfast every morning in high school.  I was very skinny and refused to eat much, so toasted pound cake was her attempt to get me to eat.  Yummy stuff.  Moms are good.  Hope yours is back to healthy soon.
