Clindamycin while breastfeeding???

Is this ok to take while I am breastfeeding. I am finding conflicting opinions about it online and am already trying to go dairy free as LO is having problems, so I will have a hard time distingushing between what might be a reaction to the milk proteins and what could be a reaction to the antibiotics! Help! Oh it is for mastitis (both breasts) GRRRR!

My PCP, OB and DD's Pedi say no. I know that there are conflicting reports but none of the three endorsed it at all.

I was prescribed it for 10 days with DD#1 and I pumped and dumped for 11 days (I was told that I couldn't nurse for 24 hours after the last dose).

ETA: I also learned that I was allergic to it too. I broke out in a rash from head to toe.

My OB, LC, and Pedi all said it was fine.  I'm on it now for an infection I got from my c-section.
