grocery shoppinng with Michelle is now too much work!

Hannaford have these little shopping carts for the kids.  Michelle loves them BUT she demands that all the groceries be put in her shopping cart.  She will have a fit if I get a cart for myself so I can get more stuff.

Luckily I really didnt need much but her cart was full....and then when we get to checkout she has to put all the stuff on the conveyor belt....which is fine but she is slower than molassas in January and dont even dare try to help her.  Thankfully the store was slow and I am good friends with the cashier who has the patience of a saint.

Now that I'm home I'm ready for a nap to recouperate from that little ordeal lol

Oh, I must be lucky.  Madelyn only needs the items for HER to be in the little cart.  Everything else goes in mine.  The first time she saw that little cart she had to tell everyone she knew about it.

Sadly, if I'm going to take one of my kids with me to the grocery store, I prefer taking the little one!  She stays put in the cart and is just happy and content to hang out in the cart and watch everything around her.

DD1, on the other hand, is running off (it is SO funny to do--no matter how many times we talk about "if you can't see me, then I can't see you; and that is not okay") begging for this and that--even when she doesn't know what it is.

Thankfully, the place I go to does NOT have those little carts...I'm sure we'd be in a similar situation.

Those damn kid shopping carts can be such a p.i.t.a. We don't have the small ones you're talking about but we have those car-type ones and that's enough.

Belle the car cart is heaven....she stays in it with no problems.  She will actually breaking down in hysterical tears if there arent any available.

sigh.....I wish she would go back to the car cart.

Can you maybe talk her into helping push the big cart?  Now that Cohen rides in the cart, Rory helps me push, and it is actually pretty efficient.  She stays out of everyone's way and the pace is a little slower than usual, but not bad.

I like the car cart as long as she stays in. But it never fails if I don't get through in break-neck speed that she loses interest and wants to climb out.  

They are such little drama queens.

Oh, I hate those things.  They are so huge and hard to push.  We've done that once, and it was enough.  Luckily, grandma took her one day and let her ride in there, and she now thinks that only grandmas can use those carts.  I don't know why?!

Josey I've tried that but she's so damn independent that she doesnt want me to have my hands on the cart....its just not worth the battle
