Cough Drops

I have the worst cold ever.  My N.P. told me that I should not take any medicine until I'm 12 weeks.  I will be 12 weeks tomorow, so I'm guessing I'm ok.  When looking over the list of acceptable medicines, I noticed that cough drops were not included.  Does anyone know if you can have cough drops while pregnant?  Thanks!!

Cough drops are on my doctor's list of acceptable medicines.

i think there are "safer" cough drops to take.  maybe google?  i believe some cough drops have alcohol or something in them.

My doctor said to only take Cepacol.  I had a terrible cold about 2 weeks ago - was awful.  However, doc said to take Robitussin DM and that was fine - even at less than 12 weeks.

vicks vapo rub is on my list!  It might help you.  My crazy MIL is a nurse and she tells us to goop it on our feet and put two pairs of socks on before bed.  She swears you'll feel better the next day!  I can't stand the goo on my feet, but it's worth a try.
