Need nursery help tons is PIP

I am trying to decide on a few nursery items.  I am not going for a "baby" or "cutesy" thing here.  Our taste is modern and I want the nursery to be elegant without being too stuffy or serious.

Here is the crib skirt I made.  This fabric will be repeated in the drapes.

This fabric will be the outside of the bumper.

Inside bumper fabric.

The paint is the tiffany blue you see in the skirt picture and is also the exact color as the outside bumper fabric.

There is a twin bed in there that will be dressed in white linens. With the above fabrics for pillows/accents.

What do you think of this for art? Is it too "serious" for a nursery?

Or?

They would be framed with thick mattes.

And lastly.  Should I do a bright yellow or white shaggy rug? (I am not worried about keeping the white clean).

Wow, that is going to be so cute! I can't wait to see the finished product. I vote a white shaggy rug or a light yellow one.

Wow. One of the best nurseries I've ever seen. I love it. I like the 2nd picture option and I think the white rug or maybe a really light yellow rug!

YOU got me into the yellow!  Whore.  But a good whore.  Do I do a light yellow like in the pictures?  Or a deeper yellow like in the skirt?  Hmmm decsions decisons.

I like the first piece best. And I say either white or light yellow, not bright yellow. I love how it's turning out, can't wait to see the finished product!

Yeah they are small.  Only 8"x8" and then I would do a thick matte and frame.  I would do all 4 above the crib (secured correctly obviously).

I like both of those rugs.  I was looking at the one from overstock but in round.

LOVE it!!!  Seriously so cute!  I vote white rug and I love the 4 art pieces.  I am looking into that etsy store right now. Great job and can't wait to see it finished!

I say the yellow that is in the fabric. I think the textiles in the room should be in the same hue/tone so match the rug to the fabric. But if you can't find one exactly, a light to blend the pictures would not be bad.
