My girls are three weeks old today. I am going STIR CRAZY at home. I know they are too little yet for a trip to the mall, etc, but I feel i'm ready to head out somewhere for something. I look forward to DH getting home at night just so I can go mow the grass or go for a walk. When did you feel comfortable packing up everything needed for twins and head out somewhere?

This past Monday I took the girls with me to a wake. My friend's mom had died and it was my first day alone with the girls (the grandmas had been here since we got home from the hospital). It was a little over an hour drive on the highway. Amanda cried for about 5 minutes on the way there and on the way home, but she eventually stopped.
They've been lots of other places too, but I've had help. They've been to a band concert at my son's school, the grocery store, and to Chilis for dinner! I say take them out...they will probably sleep the whole time!
I didn't take mine out because they were preemies and it was cold and flu season also. But today I took them to a dr. app by myself for the first time (good times
. I took them to Big Lots to buy a rocking chair by myself last week. Again good times. But as far as just leaving the house with someone helping me... the first place I took them was to church and they were 10 weeks old.
