Hysteroscopy

Has anyone had one and for what reason? 

I had two missed miscarriages with D&Cs.  I moved onto Dr. Penzias at Boston IVF.  He found some abnormal cells in my ute and wants to explore what they are with a hysteroscopy.  He is thinking it could be scar tissue and/or a fibroid/polyp.  All of which he would remove at the time of the hysteroscopy to prepare my ute for future pregnancies.  I'm curious if anyone has had similar experiences with the procedure and more specifically with Dr. Penzias. TIA

I had one 2yrs ago.  we were having TTTC so i had the HSG test to check my tubes.  they discovered some polyps on my uterus so I had the hysteroscopy for that.    it wasn't horrible.  they knocked me out and when I woke up I was sore, but it was manageable.  I was back to work the next day.   they got everything out they needed to and I got my BFP 3 months later.  Good Luck!!
