Two Under 2

So, I've decided to join you...

if that's cool. I posted a few times last year and I noticed that unless you introduce yourself, nobody gives you the time of day.

I came back to the Bump because I got a BFP a few days ago! I'm a little freaked out, happy, excited, nervous, etc. and may need a little extra support! My babies will be a little over 12 months apart. We have not told our families yet...can't decide how.

So my first question for you guys, if you don't mind, is how did you spread the (good) news? And what were their reactions? Thanks in advance!

Re: So, I've decided to join you...

  • We haven't told yet, but I figure we'll get lots of mixed reactions - which is okay.  Everyone has their own opinion.  I know we'll have some people who think we should've waited longer and people who think it's perfect.  :)  As long as everyone is nice about it, I'm good.

Congrats!  You and I are right here together with this pregnancy!

  • congrats!

We waited to tell until we were more ok with the idea. I mean, we were ttc, but got pg really fast. I told my mom when I wasnt so excited and gung ho about it--and she reacted oddly--bc of the way I said it.

With other family members we were happy and upbeat when we said it and it made all the difference. Its hard for people to be upset or act badly when you are all happy. My advice would be to wait until you have had some time to let it sink in some more so you are more ok with it all.

baby's are blessings, whether planned or not, try to think of that when you tell people.

    GL and congrats again!

  • Congrats!

We were very excited and that reflected when we told people.  Ours will be 21 months apart though so I don't think people were that shocked.

  • Congrats and welcome!

We got DS a "I'm going to be a big brother" t-shirt.  Only a close friend knew we were trying so everyone else was surprised and excited- but mostly surprised.  We had a few holy sh!ts too but nothing negative. Our LOs will be 19 mos apart

  • Thanks ladies!

I  LOVE the idea of an "I'm a big sister" onesie. I wanted to come up with a clever way to do it, and since DD can't talk yet...maybe that would be cute! I could probably find a onesie on Cafepress.com.

I did it with a shirt also.  I got one off of etsy that is super cute...try there too.
