What should I get?

So, we are heading to target tonight to use out 10% coupon to get things off our registry. We have some gift cards and will be purchasing our breast pump and pack n' play, but I am wondering is there anything else that you consider a must have? We have a stroller, car seat, swing, lots of onesies and towels. We also registered at BRU, and I plan on going there after the baby comes to finish out that registry! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you have the big stuff covered. I am not yet a mom, so I don't have any must-haves. I would say to make sure you have enough of the other essentials like bottles, bath stuff, etc.

this will sound kinda crazy, but socks. make sure you have enough socks! DD's feet are always cold (and licked by dogs). Also, if you're going to be BFing, make sure you've got shields!

I BFed and I never used shields... that's the kind of thing that you won't know if you need it until you try it.

But I would get some breast pads. If you're using disposables, get the Lansinoh kind. Those were the best. And during the first few weeks when your supply is evening out, you go through A LOT. I would go through a box a week.

Also, get some burp cloths. I used Gerber cloth diapers. I didn't even think to get some. I had to have someone run to the store after we brought DS home to grab some. They are awesome. We went through so many of them, and it's nice to have a lot so you aren't doing laundry all the time.
