For 12 weeks I would say start with 4 oz in the bottle, then see if she's still hungry afterwards, and bump it up a half ounce every time. If you don't want to just wing it and you have a digital scale at home, weigh LO before a feeding (you+LO minus weight of just you) and after to see how much she took in. Good luck!
Like the PP said, I would start small, 2-3 oz. DD will only take 3-3.5 oz in a bottle.
You could try to pump in place of a feeding to see how much you get...When I do this, I only get 3-3.5 oz, so it seems pretty accurate.
Pumping is never going to be a good indicator of how much your child is getting directly from you. Babies are WAY more efficient than pumps and they stop when they are full (pumps don't just pull off).
Re: How do you know how many ozs?
My two angels
If you are just introducing it I would start small as to not waste the milk but if your LO is good with bottle already than YAY!
Also DD only takes 3oz every 2 hours in her bottle...
