On Disney property so we had transportation to all parks
It has a boat on property that takes you to downtown Disney
Nice rooms and they have mini fridges in them (it's a Disney moderate resort)
Good choices of eating in the food court and a pizza place that delivers (we got there late on a Saturday evening and that was nice to have it delivered to us)
More than one pool, but their main one is pretty cool
It has a old town quaint southern feel to it
The only con I can give is that the place is HUGE! So we kinda walked a lot, but honestly you do a lot of walking at Disney period so it didn't bother us.
I'm not sure what your budget is, but I've only stayed at the deluxe resorts.
DH an I have stayed twice at Wilderness Lodge. I love that it's all one building. You can take a boat to the Magic Kingdom, which we also loved. Because it is kinda out of the way from the other resorts, you are likely to see bunnies hopping around and ducks swimming in the pool.
I stayed at the Polynesian as a kid. Cons are that it is very spread out. We were closer to walk to the Ticket Center and catch the monorail than walk back to the main building. Big pro, it is on the monorail.
I stayed at the Grand Floridian in college. Beautiful resort, on the monorail, but not really my style. It always felt too stuffy for me.
If you're looking for more of a budget hotel, my cousing LOVES the All Star Movies Resort. She said her kids love being able to see the oversized characters like Buzz Lightyear. She told me the only con is that there are so many kids that sometimes you have to wait for buses.
My family stayed at the Coranado. It was a lot of fun. The pools were well themed and kept. There was even small pools by all the buildings for quick swims.
Food was great and so easy to get around. Oh and they had hammocks hanging from palm trees with white sand underneath.

Thanks girls for the recs girls! I actually booked Riverside last night! (It is where DH wanted to stay, but I wanted a rec or two for it first).
We are SUPER excited!!
I will probably ask for more recs as we get closer! I haven't been in almost 15 years!
Yay! You'll really like it...I just loved the old time southern feel of it
