Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Saw a ticker on another board and teared up

I had my D&C a week ago and for the past 2 days I haven't cried, I've actually done pretty good (at least in my opinion)... but then I saw a 12 week ticker and almost lost it... I'm not sure why... I see tons of tickers on the boards I frequent but that one just got me... damn tickers...

I have my follow up next Thurs and have so many questions to ask her about TTC again and when I can get back to normal activity (exercise especially). I think I'd feel more normal if I could get out and run... like running from the issue... sounds crazy but it's how I feel at least at this minute... I should mention I've never run in my life... I have worked out but since this happened I feel like I should start running. I'm crazy I know!

  • I wish I felt the same way about running. My thighs and belly would appreciate it. :) However, I understand what you mean about "running from the issue"... doesn't make sense, b/c we really can't, but... it just feels better. For me, it's doing stuff in general. Being alone, or just at home, makes me sad. :(

  • I'm looking forward to starting back running. I've been just walking 1-1.5 miles over the past week.

Yeah it doesn't make sense to "run away from the issue" but that's how I feel... I mean I wish I could, then again don't we all. I've NEVER run in my life but think now might be a good time to start. I feel like I should sign up for a 5K or something, for a couple reasons... to run away from the issue (as if that's REALLY possible), to get back in shape, and to have something positive to focus my mind on.

It feels best for me to be outside of the house or to be busy. I was actually excited to go back to work so I could focus my mind on something else...

  • I did. I started running. I ran in the rain on Saturday. It's the only thing that gets that feeling, that knot, that gut-wrenching, out of my stomach.

That's the feeling I want to go away...
