I've been (obviously) dreading Mother's Day and trying to fill my weekend with distractions, so I planned to run a 5k with my mom and I JUST found out it's a Mother's Day 5k and all moms get a TIARA to wear DURING THE RACE.

(I can't get out of it...we already registered and paid and my mom's really looking forward to it.)

Are you kidding me?
I think you are coming down with something, and will be too sick to take part.

No can do. It's local and nobody knows about my m/c (not even my mom). Don't want to invite questions, kwim?
Maybe you can make a game out of smacking all the tiaras off of the women's heads.
Seriously, who runs in a tiara. That's just stupid.

In that case, I think you are getting a cold. Or a migraine that will hit Saturday. (((hugehugs)))
I vote for this.
To be honest, this might have to be what I do. It just SUCKS b/c I was really trying to avoid feigning illness this weekend. It's a double whammy if I say I'm sick: I'm forced to stay home, which means I'll just sulk and mope and cry all weekend AND *certain* people will ask me if I'm pregnant b/c I'm sick. UGH.
