How can they let you leave the hospital

without a ROOMBA!! or something of the like?? It should be a free 'Gift with Purchase'....Is it not just obvious to me that ANYONE with a baby, toddler, adolescent, etc. would NEED this??  SERIOUSLY!!!!

Disclaimer: I dont own one of these but I assume they just go until the floor is clean and have some sort of sensor as to where the mess is?.....Anyway, WTH?

Yes.  I love ours!  It's so nice to come home to clean floors everyday.

so how does it work exactly...like it has a docking station and whenever theres a mess, it just goes and vac's it up? BC honestly that might jut be AMAZING! You dont even have to BE there???????

I don't think it just picks up and goes when it "sees" a mess, Does it!?

I think it "memorizes" where its docking station is and uses light to tell where furniture is so it doesn't get stuck.  It goes around the room randomly and vacuums, kind of like one of those "octopus" devices that cleans a pool while you're not using it.  I don't think it senses where messes are; I think it just vacuums until it's covered the room or runs out of power, then returns "home" to recharge.

SoRry I'm just now responding. I have mine on a schedule to run daily at 3 pm. It goes all over til it's cleaned and then goes to the dock. It CAN detect messes and it circles until it's all vacuumed up. I love it!!!
