Allergic Reaction to Bananas?

Anyone else?  LO developed a horrible red rash around her mouth/chin and eczema all over her torso, arms, and legs.  I had thought that banana was a safe food???

It's low the allergic reaction scale but that doesn't mean no one will react.

like the pp said it isn't a highly allergic food like eggs, but everyone reacts differently to different food...that is why you are supposed to try every new food for 3-5 days.

I would also talk with your ped... they say people with banana, kiwi and avocado allergies are High Risk for latex allergies as well
