temping issue

My issue is that I've had quite a few restless nights sleep recently.  I've found myself waking up at 2 hour intervals.  I usually fall back asleep right away, but I'm tossing and turning, not really in a deep sleep.  I've noticed that on my restless nights, my temps are a bit on the high side as opposed to the "good" night's sleep.  Ugh.  I don't know what that will mean in the long run.  And, what if I wake up a little early to test, but just lay in my bed and doze on and off for a half an hour?  Sometimes I wake up and stretch really hard before I can even help it before I temp - bad?

I'm such a charting newbie.  Sorry for my ignorance, but any light shed would be appreciated!

Re: temping issue

  • I am also new to temping, and I completely understand your dilemna!  I know you will get your best temperature after 3 hour sleep, but consistency is key. I've tried temping after getting 3 hours of sleep especially if I know that I won't get 3 hours afterwards.  I've also tried temping at the same time (within 30 minutes of default time).  My temps weren't that different, and the pattern was most important in the end.  So now, I stick to temping at the same time (within 30 minutes)  no matter what my sleep was like that night.  Hope that helps.

  • when i used to temp i would just take my temp at whatever the time was that i normally would, regardless of whether or not I got a good or bad night's sleep. it's not an indiv. temp you're worried about, it's moreso the overall pattern - and you won't know that until the month progresses further. good luck.
