Formula Mixing ?

I am using powdered formula. I have been mixing it using the Gerber Pure water which is found next to the formula at Target. It says on the jug that it is not sterile. I was just wondering what you all are using to mix powdered formula? Does it matter if it is sterile if it is purified water?

Thanks.

  • We are mainly using tap water. But, I got a free gallon of water from BRU for buying formula there and we're using that in the room so we don;t have to walk through the house in the middle of the night. It sits at room temp. We only warm bottles if its put in the fridge so he doesn't get brain freeze! lol.

  • We have water service at our house. (kinda like the big blue jugs you see at office buildings) we use that for her bottles.

  • We're using poland spring gallons now. I asked my ped about sterilizing the water and he said no need - we could use tap water...but we don't even drink our tap water :) I'm sure Brita or bottled water (or even tap water if yours is good) are fine!
