NBR-- Aurora outlets--worth it?

I need a major wardrobe overhaul, but am on a tight budget.  Has anyone been to the outlet mall in Aurora?  I live north of the city, but would be willing to drive out to Aurora if it seems worth the treck.  Happy Monday!

  • If you are north of the city, I'd go to Pleasant Prairie instead- mostly the same stores (but some additional too) but they seem to have more in each store.  If you don't find anything there, hit Gurnee on your way home too.

Before going, go to the mall's websites and print out coupons for a free coupon book and extra coupons for each store.

  • Thanks for the tips, ladies!
  • I live dangerouly close to the outlet mall, but I love it!  The sales at Ann Taylor, Gap, BR, Coach, Puma, and the one BCBG store that I can't remember the name of are awesome!  It's worth the trip out this way.  I suggest going early (open at 10am), and avoid shopping on the weekends.  There's just too many people there on the weekends, and it's no fun trying to get through crowds with a stroller.  If you go when the mall is busy, park near Ann Taylor.  There are always spots open at that end.

I was just there this weekend looking for maternity clothes, which was not worth it. There is only one store and while they did have some designer clothes on sale they were all as is and something was wrong with each that couldnt be fixed. I did get a dress but that was it in terms of clothes. Personally I would go somewhere else first.

  • I 2nd the Pleasant Prairie suggestion.  I frequent both (parents live in Kenosha)  Tax is WAY less and they always have great sales.
