Estrogen priming ladies

As a follow-up to Kissyfacekate's question, did any of you that did estrogen priming with Estrace prior to starting stims find that it took longer for your follies to grow? I'm going much slower with this IVF as compared to the last one where we didn't do estrogen priming. I'm starting to get worried.

Yes, I stimmed about 14-18 days during 3 ?EP cycles. I was a very slow starter and seemed to have a little "boom" of growth towards the end. I skipped EP for cycle #4 and only stimed for 9 days. All cycles yielded the same amount of eggs for me. Good luck!

  • I stimmed the same number of days but my follicles were smaller when I triggered. Also, my E2 was lower.

  • Thanks, MrsAMR! I know each person and their IF situations are unique, but it makes me feel better knowing that. My last cycle I only stimmed for 9 days, and this feels incredibly slow to me. So, while I have many more eggs brewing than the last time, I was starting to get worried. Based on your siggy, it looks like you stimmed for 13 or 14 days. Congratulations again on your BFP! How are you feeling?

I actually only stimmed for 11 days: 3/28 - 4/7. I triggered on 4/8 (no stims that night). I think my largest follie was around 18mm. I'm not sure on the exact number. I got 14 eggs. 10 were mature.

Thanks for the congrats. It's been very sureal! I feel good for the most part. I definitely get nauseated at times and hit-the-wall tired. I guess it will be more real tomorrow after my first ultrasound to see how many stuck around!
