DS has a cold :(

He started coughing yesterday but it didn't seem to be bothering him and his temp was normal.  He had a really hard time sleeping last night though and had a stuffy nose.  I gave him some Tylenol (not on the recall list!!) and he was able to go back to sleep.  So far he's okay this morning but just tired (he only slept a total of 7 hours instead of 11-12 that he normally does!). 

Is there anything I should give him for his cough instead of Tylenol?

My LO has a cold too.  I took her to the pedi and he told me there is absolutely nothing I can give her other than tylonel.  He said that usually stuff doesn't work on them this young and they experience alot of side effects for the medicine.  He told me the only thing I can do for her congestions is elavate her, humdifier, and use saline drops and my nosefrida.  Now that she's past the 4 month mark, he said I could put Vicks on her chest but not on her face. So that seems to help some too!  GL!
